Our client is a world-leading designer & manufacturer of fuel and lubricant transfer and management systems. Specialising in industrial scale refuelling and fluid transfers and using its own patented refuelling technology, our client designs systems for companies operating throughout the world in the mining, ports (container handling), rail and transport industries.
With over 30 years experience, with products on every continent – including Antarctica and found in over 50 countries, increased demand domestically and off-shore means our client now needs additional Engineering expertise for their forward workloads.
Based in Head Office, just South of Newcastle NSW, our client has a need for 1 x Mechanical Design Engineer to support an existing small team of electrical & mechanical Engineers.
Ideally, you will probably be from an Mechanical Trades background and qualification (Or have a Mechanical Engineering Diploma / Degree) coupled with sound, practical abilities you can incorporate into design solutions (often bespoke, sometimes cut & paste) relating to fuel tank farms / refuelling depots.
Essential will be the ability to fully utilise AutoCAD & SolidWorks providing completed construction drawings to the installation and commissioning teams. Designing valving / metering solutions, analysing flow calculations & P&ID drawings to provide completed construction drawings is essential. A big advantage would be prior industrial based, hydrocarbon fluid transfer industry experience.
The role is 99% office based, Monday to Friday and although a lot of design outcomes will be cut and paste from previous solutions, the ability to devise turn-key solutions for their products that operate in the harshest of operating conditions will be of immense benefit – especially considering how bright their future outlook is.
Mechanical Engineers / technicians wanting a role off the tools but utilising existing knowledge and experience translating into “easy to build” construction drawings, are highly encouraged to apply.
Immediate start is envisioned with likely remuneration to be circa AU$90K ballpark.
